[DIGITAL ROUTES] What is the ideal driver's behavior on a route?

Supervisors should ensure that drivers complete digital routes, since accurate route and distance calculations depend on reliable data. A digital route helps confirm that the route reflects what actually happened in the field. Below are the key behaviors and best practices drivers should follow.

Digital route requirements

These practices are essential to ensure a digital route:

  • The driver's click score must be above 85%.

  • Data Gaps and Data Issues events added together must be less than 15 minutes.

  • The driver's tracking must have been successful.

Ideal actions and good practices on a route

  • Keep your phone on at all times

  • Log in before leaving the DC or the established start location

  • Complete the route only after arriving at the DC or the established finishing place

  • Keep location services to High Accuracy

  • Keep Battery Saver off

  • Do not put your phone in airplane mode

  • Keep mobile data (internet) enabled

  • Visit customers in the suggested order

  • Make a click at the client, that is, make the click of delivery before leaving the place of visit (radius of 150 m)

  • Point out every delivery (successful or failed) to all visits

What the driver should check

Before starting the route

  1. Check if the cell phone has GPS turned on in High Precision mode.

  2. Check if the cell phone has enough battery for the route.

  3. Log in to the application before leaving the DC or starting place and ensuring that you are on the right route.

During the route

  1. Do not put the phone in battery-saving mode.

  2. Make the delivery or return click always in front of the POS/customer door.

  3. Make clicks on all deliveries, even if it is unsuccessful.

  4. Do not make clicks while driving.

  5. Do not turn off the phone or close the application.

  6. If you run out of internet, the dynamic rescheduling will not be done, but rest assured, the clicks made are stored on the cell phone and are sent to Foxtrot Systems as soon as the internet returns.

When returning at the end

  1. Finalize the route only when it is already inside the DC or place of finalization.
